We offer a number of clinical and research graduate programs in our Department.
Clinical Degree Programs
Master of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology
Master of Science (M.S.) in Medical Speech-Language Pathology
The rigorous academic coursework and rich clinical experiences in our clinical degree programs prepare our graduate students to meet ASHA clinical certification standards and Washington State licensure and professional certification requirements. A master's degree is the entry level degree for practicing as a speech-language pathologist, and our graduate students complete a two year (8 quarter) course of study.
Research Degree Program
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Our innovative doctoral program is organized around an apprenticeship model and gives students the background and skills necessary to advance and disseminate knowledge. A doctoral degree is the entry level degree for speech and hearing sciences researchers and scholars and our students typically complete a four to five year course of study.
