Over the next few months you will receive important communications from our department and the University of Washington’s Office of the Registrar. Students in our fee-based MedSLP and AuD programs will also be contacted by our partners in the UW Professional and Continuing Education Department (PCE). Please carefully read all the materials you receive. Students are responsible for taking all required actions before the start of the graduate program in the fall.
Between now and the start of the academic year, our department’s Academic & Student Services team will be your primary point of contact. Please communicate any questions and send any documentation owed to the department using the contact information below:

New Student Orientation
There is a mandatory department orientation for all new graduate students on Monday and Tuesday, September 25 & 26, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s held in our building (Eagleson Hall) located at 1417 NE 42nd Street, Seattle, WA 98105. All new graduate students in Speech and Hearing Sciences (SPHSC) are required to attend this event. Please mark your calendar now and get in touch with your advisor ASAP if you have any conflict with these dates.
During orientation, SPHSC faculty and staff will provide valuable information about the UW and your graduate program. For your convenience, a folder containing the orientation schedule and supporting materials will be placed in your department mailbox in Eagleson Hall on Friday, September 22, 2017. Please plan to pick up this folder and bring it with you to orientation.
