Our Speech & Language Services
UW Speech & Hearing Clinic provides comprehensive speech and language services grounded in evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and patient-centered care across the lifespan. We provide assessment and treatment of the disorders described below, unless otherwise noted. If you are uncertain if we provide the services you are seeking, please feel free to contact us.
Augmentative and Alternative Communications (AAC)
We do not provide initial evaluations to “fit” or prescribe AAC devices. However, an individual with an AAC device can be evaluated or treated at our clinic.
Communication for Life (CFL)
The CFL group runs Autumn, Winter and Spring quarters, with evaluations occurring in the Summer quarter. Young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities age 18-30 to work on communication skills for life, work, and leisure.
