Julia D’Angio joined the Speech and Hearing Sciences faculty as a clinical instructor and lecturer in 2024. Prior to joining the faculty, she has worked with adults with acquired neurological disorders in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient settings. She has focused experience working with people following cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), neurological surgeries, and cardio-thoracic surgeries. Additional professional areas include dysphagia evaluation/management, tracheostomy and ventilation care. Previous hospital experiences include the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System, Stanford Medical Center, Valley Medical Center and the University of Washington Medical Center. A particular area of interest includes student education, previously working as Stanford’s Inpatient Clinical Education Coordinator for PT, OT, and SLP students. She now provides clinical education for students completing adult neurological treatment practica and teaches didactic courses.
