Julie A. Dunlap, M.S., CCC-SLP
Julie Dunlap is an Associate Teaching Professor in the UW Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences (SPHSC). She graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and completed her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Washington. She joined the UW SPHSC faculty in 2007 after spending 13 years at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her areas of interest include pediatric feeding and swallowing, pediatric traumatic brain injury, craniofacial/cleft palate, speech sound disorders, and promoting inclusion of children with disabilities. She teaches SPHSC 543: Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing and co-teaches SPHSC 539: Assessment and Treatment of Speech Sound Disorders as well as supervising in the Speech and Hearing Clinic. As part of an inter-disciplinary service learning trip to Guatemala, Julie leads a team of SLP graduate students working with children and adults who have speech, language and feeding/swallowing disorders.
