Introduction to phonetics for speech and hearing sciences. Topics include broad and narrow transcription of spoken English using the International Phonetic Alphabet, articulatory classification of the consonants and vowels of English, non-native accented speech, dialectal variations, developmental speech patterns, speech disorders, and clinical applications of phonetics in speech and hearing sciences.
