Undergraduate Students

About 10% of undergraduates come from outside the United States. Prospective students should review the International Student Admissions website to to learn more about minimum admission requirements, admission policies, how to apply, and how the UW makes admission decisions.

Graduate Students

We welcome and value international students and hope that you decide to submit an application. If you meet the below criteria, you are eligible to apply for graduate study at the University of Washington (UW):

  • Have you earned the equivalent of at least a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree?
  • Have you taken the required tests (GRE and TOEFL)?
  • If you have taken these tests, do your scores meet the minimum requirements?
  • If the graduate program to which you are applying does not offer any funding, do you have other sources that allow you to meet the tuition obligations?
